Demand for light commercial vehicles (LCV) fell to 44% in 2009 as 104216 units were sold unlike 186187 cars realized in 2008. Such data are given by Committee of manufacturers of commercial transport in the press release. Out of 15 brands presented in this category of transport (load-carrying capacity is up to 6 tons), five showed growth of sales. They are FIAT (+167%), Isuzu (+126%), Citroen (+86%), Peugeot (+73%) and Opel (+20%). Other brands lowered sales: Hyundai (-75%), Mercedes-Benz Vans (-55%), GAZ (-53%), Volkswagen NFZ and Nissan (-46%) each, Renault (-41%), UAZ and FORD (-39%) each, Toyota (-34%) and Iveco (-26%). According to participants of Committee, it is possible to name the positive moment that sales in 4 quarter of 2009 were higher than indexes of the last 3 quarters.
According to data of "AUTOSTAT", park of LCV in Russia made 3 324 467 units (as of 1.01.10). The biggest park of light commercial vehicles – 24.3% from all-Russian in the central federal district, experts remark.
For referential use, the manufacturers of the major foreign commercial vehicles brands in Russia got together in the Commercial Vehicle Committee (CVC) under the umbrella of the Association of European Businesses (AEB). The brands represented are Bus a Mercedes-Benz (EvoBus), Bus Setra (EvoBus), Citroen, FIAT (Sollers), Ford, Hyundai, Isuzu (Sollers), Iveco, MAN, a Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Renault Trucks, Peugeot, Scania, Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge and Volvo.
