Yesterday there was the next session of the joint strategic committee Renault - AVTOVAZ in Moscow at which its participants discussed the program of development of AVTOVAZ till 2020 and the concept of the company restructuring (the business plan), working strategy over the power unit, questions of purchase of equipment and painting of cars on platform Â0.
In particular, Odile Desforges, the engineering and quality executive vice-president of the group Renault told about the visit of the representative delegation of the alliance to AVTOVAZ which passed the day before. Within two days top-managers of Renault carried on negotiations and meetings, got acquainted with capacities and plant shops, talked to workers and experts of manufacture. Ms. Desforges remarked that the visit at AVTOVAZ completely justified expectations of partners and terms of introduction of new models in manufacture are absolutely real.
Igor Komarov, the president of AVTOVAZ informed earlier that in 2012 car manufacture on platform Â0 under the brand Lada should start. Within 2012-2013 AVTOVAZ will begin production of cars under brands Renault and Nissan on the same platform.
