Yesterday the concept of development of the Russian car industry till 2020 was generally approved at session of the government. However, according to Victor Khristenko, the minister of industry and trade, changes were made in the program in some parameters and it was sent to the ministry for perfection till March, 30th.
Mr. Khristenko informed that in particular, the program is reduced to 7% - from 627 billion rubles to 584 billion rubles. The total amount of expenses for realization of development strategy of car industry till 2020 is corrected to 1-1.2 billion rubles (earlier this figure was 1.3-1.8 billion rubles), the agency "Finmarket" reports. Thus the minister said that the state support share in this amount was not changed.
Also there were no changes in investment into component manufacture - they still make 191 billion rubles. According to the head of Ministry of industry and trade, development of component base remains one of key tasks as current agreements of manufacture of components “do not create critical weight still”.
Mr. Khristenko told that plans of purchase of a foreign car manufacturer by the Russian side are excluded from the development strategy of domestic car industry till 2020. Earlier Ministry of industry and trade suggested to consider possibility of participation of the state in purchase of assets abroad thus to liquidate lack in technology of the Russian car manufacturers. However, under informal information, car manufacturers do not consider such possibility and also do not conduct negotiations.
