The press-service of the joint venture informed the agency "AUTOSTAT" about it and remarked that additional working Saturdays were introduced at the enterprise since the middle of March for satisfaction of demand. So, work on September, 4th was planned in May but the decision to work on September, 11th was made up in August for the purpose close a gap in the plan because of idle time in the first week of August when AVTOVAZ suspended work in connection with abnormal heat. It is planned that September, 11th will be the last working Saturday in 2010 as since September, 21st the joint venture will renew manufacture in a two-shift regime and will gradually increase daily volume of manufacture up to 196 cars (98 cars per shift). GM-AVTOVAZ has already hired about 300 workers to organize the second shift, they added in the press-service of the enterprise. According to GM-AVTOVAZ, for eight months of 2010 20744 Chevrolet Niva cars left the conveyor of the joint venture, 20719 off-road cars are sold. In total following the results of the year GM-AVTOVAZ plans to produce 37100 cars. | AUTOSTAT | 08 | 09 | 2010 Analysts of "AUTOSTAT" changed the forecast of development of the car market of Russia At the beginning of September the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT" published the updated forecast of development of the Russian car market. Experts look at consumer activity and prospects of recovery of the sales level more optimistically. "Revival of the Russian car market proceeds. Rate of sales growth in the automotive sector surpassed the most courageous expectations. Firstly, the recycling program worked successfully, secondly, the pent-up demand appeared, supported with consumer optimism of those Russians for whom excitements and uncertainty of the crisis period remained far behind", the report of agency "AUTOSTAT" says. Experts see two base scenarios of development of the Russian market. First (optimistic) assumes, that no financial storm will touch the Russian economy in the near future. “The airbag” of the population in the form of liquidity saved up on accounts, under influence of decrease in rates under contributions and depreciation will flow in the expensive goods, including cars. In this case this year about 1.75 million new cars (without LCV segment) will be sold in the Russian market that is by 22% over the last year"s indexes. Thus the figure in the forecast could be still more as demand advances offer a little. However cars are not enough in outlets now. According to this scenario in 2011 the sales level of new cars will exceed 2 million cars and in 2013 will come nearer to the record level of 2008 (2.6-2.8 million units). If there are no cataclysms in the Russian economy then in 2014 more than 3 million cars can be realized in home market and Russia will catch up with the leading European car market of Germany. The pessimistic scenario considers macroeconomic risk which provides delay of rates of recovery of economic and reduction of prices for power resources. As growth of economy has not accepted steady character so “rolling-up” of measures of the state stimulation of economy will make negative impact in general as well as on the car market. In this case the forecast for 2010 provides the market volume in 1.65 million cars. In 2011 dynamics will make only 6-7% up to 1.75 million cars and the level in 2 million will be reached only in 2012. Sergey Tselikov, the director of the agency "AUTOSTAT" says that in any case, the main tendency - essential increase of the share of foreign cars of the Russian assembly - is very visible. "So, if last year they provided less than a quarter of the home market then this year it is expected that the share of this segment will grow up to 34-35% of the market. By 2012 a little more than 40% of the market will fall on the share of foreign cars assembled in Russia and by 2014 they will occupy almost half (46-48%) from the total realization volume of new cars", the expert says. | AUTOSTAT | 08 | 09 | 2010 "IzhAvto" started serial production of Lada 2104 and IZH-27175 The Izhevsk car factory which after one-and-a-half-year idle time since the end of August works in a test regime and produces models Lada 2104 and IZH-27175, yesterday began serial production of cars. Vladimir Putin, the prime minister of Russia who arrived to Izhevsk with a working trip, took part in the launch ceremony. In September "IzhAvto" also plans to begin manufacture of Lada 2107, Igor Kulgan, the general director of "Incorporated automotive group” (it manages "IzhAvto") informed. Totally till the end of the year about 10 thousand Lada cars should leave the Izhevsk conveyor. Besides, according to Mr. Kulgan, in September assembly of Kia Spectra and Кia Sorento models should renew. Start of model Kia Sorento New will begin in October, Hyundai trucks of series HD (120, 78, 65) - in December, 2010. Next year the Izhevsk car factory plans to begin assembly of a new model Kia Cerato. According to the head of "Incorporated automotive group”, "IzhAvto" will make about 60 thousand Korean cars per year, approximately 15 thousand out of them are light trucks Huyndai. Also Mr. Kulgan remarked that the agreement about contract assembly of the model line should be finalized within two weeks. | AUTOSTAT | 07 | 09 | 2010 Over 100 thousand preferential auto credits were given out in 2010 The quantity of preferential auto credits after renewal of the program at the end of February this year exceeded the 100-thousandth level. According to data of Ministry of industry and trade, as of September, 3rd there were 223273 applications in banks after consideration of which 101672 preferential auto credits were given out. Popularity of the program of subsidising of consumer auto credits this year has considerably grown, analysts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" remark. In total for five months after renewal of the program the quantity of preferential autocredits (72568 thousand units given out as of for July, 1st) exceeded indexes for nine months of operation of preferential auto crediting last year (71486 applications). Efficiency of the program of preferential auto crediting has raised also, analysts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" state. So, the share of cars bought under preferential credits since April till December last year made 6.6 % in total realisation volume. In March-July this year such cars occupied already 10.9 % of the Russian car market. The press-service of Sberbank informed the agency "AUTOSTAT" which is the leader in the program of preferential auto crediting that about 66.3% of soft loans given out by Sberbank fall on Lada cars. Renault (11.5%), Ford (6.3%) and Skoda (4.4%) are in the lead among foreign cars. Meanwhile, the share of applications which are approved by banks-participants of the program decreased a little. If last year 71486 applications or 57.7 % were approved out of 123874 then this year this share has fallen to 45.4 % (101672 applications are approved out of 223273). Participants of the program explain this by deficiency of cars at dealers as well as by joining of credit organisations which have high percent of refusals to the program. The program of subsidising of consumer auto credits has been renewed at the end of February this year and calculated till the end of the year. Conditions of participation in the program of preferential auto crediting remain the same as at the end of last year: the initial contribution is 15 %, the maximum cost of a car of the Russian manufacture is 600 thousand rubles, the credit is given for 36 months under the bank interest minus 2/3 rates of refinancing of Central Bank of Russia. It was informed earlier that since September Ministry of industry and trade plans to fix the discount under preferential auto credits at the level of 6% annual. | AUTOSTAT | 07 | 09 | 2010 KAMAZ established a record of sales in the Ukrainian market KAMAZ became the absolute sales leader on the Ukrainian market in its class of trucks. AUTO-Consulting Information and Analytical Group informs that the company took 54.9% in the segment of trucks with GVW of over 16 tonnes, according to the results for a period from the beginning of 2010. This is the company’s best result for all years of its work from the day when the country declared its independency. Over a year, KAMAZ’s share has grown by 24.6%. A KAMAZ-45143 agricultural dump truck became the leader in the truck sales rating; its share in sales forms 41.5%. KAMAZ has considerably strengthened its positions selling trucks with 8-16 t GVW as well, having increased its share by 7.7% - to 39.3% - for a year.
